SHOWCASE MODELS OF EXELLENCE
In order to promote the futures field to the public and to recognize the work of professional futurists and others whose work illuminates one or more aspects of the future, APF hosts several programs including awards. These programs showcase models of excellence for applied foresight practitioners to emulate and for the public to gain a better understanding of the field.
Most Significant Futures Works
APF annual recognizes the Most Significant Futures Works for the purpose of identifying and rewarding the work of professional futurists and others whose work illuminates aspects of the future. Furthermore, APF publicly shares these projects with the public in order to educate and inform, and to showcase examples of excellent futures work. In addition to this official record, Wikipedia tracks these awards under its Futures Studies page.
Student Recognition Awards
Students who do outstanding work deserve recognition for that work, and institutions that develop outstanding students also deserve recognition. That concept has led the Association of Professional Futurists to develop a competition to recognize outstanding work by students in futures studies.
